I can't make any real money using google adsense. I have made about $3 since I launched on January 16, 2007. What the heck am I doing wrong? I have about 6,000 impressions... and 15 clicks

6000 impressions is good, but you just need more clicks on your ads. I get about 15 clicks per 100 impressions.

Try changing the place/colour/type of your adsense ads.

Don't use adsense.

It's payouts now are so low its not worth bothing with. I suggest putting an email opt-in form in the advertising spaces and then try some affiliate marketing in the backend when they opt in.

google ads are not that low, i make around $3-5 a day off 5-15 clicks...

i have only 2 clicks since i open up my own blog for about 1 week+..and its 17cents hehehe..well i am not looking into earning money anyway, but like everyone maybe abit here and there to sustain the hosting cost!

You ppl are impatient. You arent going to make $1000 in your first month with adsense. Now 6000 impressions is good, your CTR isnt tho. (click thru rate). Link us to your site and maybe we can help with your layout so you can score more clicks.

Also, if you get a lot of clicks and crap for payout, it's because you have very little content to draw ads from. I make usually over $.50 a click. Extremes are $.03 to $2.00+

I think the average CTR is 1.5% so aim for that. Implementing correctly and having targetted ads is a pretty sure way of succeeding with adsense - getting good return from Adsense is not that hard as long as you do as previously mentioned.

With impressions like that you can sure make money whether from adsense or other streams so dont worry about it too much, just keep on working!

I have not made that much money but I was surprised to see that I had made any money at all. Since Jan 1st I have made $6.42. That should be going up because I plan on adding the adsence ads into my forums.
