how do you nail a deal with an affiliate?

this seems to be a concern of mine. our site, which is being constructed - will offer a referral point system. the points members receive will be used to apply toward discounts on our site, but we also want to build affiliates in our field - that will allow our members to use the referral points for purchases on other sites (affiliates).

what type of prep work must we do on our end to prepare to market this to possible affiliates?

what's the best way to approach an affiliate?

You might think about joining a company like cj.com or linkshare.com and let them market your affiliate program.

ClickBank is another option. Becareful though, programs tend to get lost in those large companies. Do you know any affiliates that you could contact?

Your site will allow your members to use the referral points for purchases on other sites??

Could you be more clear, what is happening.
And is your site about affiliate marketing?
