hi ive recently bought the site grabup.com but i want to know what type of advertising people recommend for it? its a great site, but i dont know if adwords would work? or is it adsense? its my first website so im a bit lost with it all. Does anyone have any ideas?

Adwords is the word you are looking for promoting your site,yes its good to get your site out on the net quick but it can cost you,SEO is the best way to go its slower but free or take a look at my signature below.

What are you gonna use the Website for? Then pick Websites that serves the Audience in the Market your in and Advertise it there....

Say your gonna Publish Self-Made Home Movies or something........You could create a Channel Named aftered your website on Youtube....

Just remember, that all things that could get your site noticed, isnt gonna cost money!

Find your Audience, find sites your audience currently go to, and Advertise there or places they advertise....

BTW, that domain is very vaulable if you havent had it appraised yet, it's a very Brandable name such as "Yahoo or Google (those are kings of brandable names)"

How about posting your site to craigslist? It is free to post there, and it sure will help you to let the world know of your site!

Considering this site seems to be targeted towards MacOS users, consider Mac forums.
MacFanatics tend to spread the word pretty quickly.

You could also potentially bundle it in to some torrents that are popular with Mac Users if you're wanting to go to the dark side.

You'll want to keep your affiliate programs relivant to the material to your website, without stepping on your own foot sales wise. Also, I would recommend promoting products you know well or have used and trust. This will give your visitors peice of mind to trust what you are selling or promoting because of your expertise.

There are tons of affiliate programs for uploading that you can promote.

This also keeps your visitors coming back. If you promote a crappy affiliate program or scam, your visitors will most likely never return to your website to purchase other services or programs.

As for getting traffic to your website, I would recommend doing and orgrannic marketing campaign. It will take a bit longer but it's a lot more effective and free.

There are many ways to get traffic to the website....First and fore most thing you have to do is keyword research,select the proper targeted keywords and later on do create articles,Web pages...which gives immediate results to the site!!!
