I agree Eric.
Cvibe, you're not going to ever find good wholesale contacts on any forum online without people trying to get you to buy from them, or without supposed "dropshippers" spamming you to use their websites.
I spent months trying to find the magical supplier until finally I realized that the "Magical Supplier" does not exist. You have to make your own way.
You might want to do what I ended up doing. I contacted the four cheapest websites online I could find that sold the products I was looking to sell (and they were not wholesalers). I called them up, presented them with an offer for a relationship where I would send them orders if they agreed to give me slightly better pricing and also if they agreed to dropship the orders for me.
Three of them agreed, I launched my sites, sent my orders to these companies for months, which allowed me to save up money and slowly build capital. I built such a good relationship with one that the owner gave me net30 terms (after I pushed him to do so for a few weeks), and this allowed me to grow faster.
Co-incidently, the owner of the company I established a net30 account with decided to retire and close up shop, and agreed to sell me his complete list of vendors, wholesalers, and suppliers, along with a list of about 400 resellers, for six figures.
Now I am able to stock and ship my products in house, and we are able to continue to grow because of the initial process I used to get to this point.
You probably won't use the same method I did to grow, but maybe you can take from my example and make it your own.
Good Luck and Happy Holidays!

I was wondering if you could give me an example of the call/email you send them for an offer?? I am just curious as to what kind of offer you presented them with and how you approached them??

I agree with crunch... i've recently got together a good list of suppliers only through trial and error... thing is don't let the errors hold you back.
