Which should I choose from for merchant accounts

Should I choose between:

Charge.com

authorize.net

Paypal

2checkout,
or is there one that I missed, or that is better.

I am running on Oscommerce, if that helps with anything.

Thanks

Take a look at google checkout.

I believe that it has the absolute lowest cost per transaction.

Right now Charge.com wants to offer $23.00 per month plus 0.25 per transaction. Is that a good deal or is there something better?

Have you checked with your bank yet? They may be able to cut you a pretty good deal.

Stay away from Google Checkout, until they iron out the bugs in their system.

I tried 2 checkout.com. It's pretty cheap . $50 setup and no monthly fee.
However when visitors checkout, they're redirected to 2checkout.com's site. And it adds 1 or 2 extra steps to the checkout process.
Same prob for paypal.

I didn't think this looked professional - and more more steps means more shopping cart abandonment.

Now I've decided to get the most "expensive" option:
Authorize.net.
It's about $30 a month with no setup fees - and about 3% of the purchase..however I'm locked in a 3 year contract.

But it looks clean and integrates with the website well.

I think you need to decide what's more important to you?

A professional looking checkout process or price? The free ones are free for a reason.
If you're looking to make a couple 100 to 1000's per month - getting the most "expensive" option, is more than "worth" it.

I ran with Authorize.net through my Bank's merchant program and I couldn't be happier. They account for roughly 85% of my transactions while paypal is the other 15%
