Where to advertise a dropshipping program?
My business, Modzy Inc., is venturing out in two new directions. We currently sell online retail scrapbook and crafts products, and are the exclusive dropshipper for iVillage. We have decided to move into two new areas to take advantage of market opportunities. One of them is opening up our dropshipping program to any qualified person/business that would like to sell scrapbook supplies.
Our program is almost completely setup, but I was wondering where would be a good place to advertise to find people interested in starting their own home scrapbook business (dropshipping our products)? Our target market is women, and for this program would likely be stay-at-home mothers who are interested in working online from home. It also might be interested to anyone else looking to start a low-risk online business.
Where are good places you can recommend where we can find people interested in using our dropshipping services?
If you have opened an online store using a dropshipper before, where did you find out about the dropshipper you used?

What about putting together a catalog of your products, sending it to scrapbooking stores across the nation, and letting them know how they can make a profit by allowing customers to order items out of it. They can then offer a greater variety of products to customers without taking on the risk of carrying items that may only sell rarely.
You can create a lot of business by educating them about dropshipping and opportunities for them.

Scrapbooking stores as in retail B&M? They wouldn't be interested in this. Maybe online stores, but most of them already carry their own inventory, they aren't going to move backwards. This is really targeting people with existing stores selling similiar items or new stores.

Why wouldn't existing stores be interested?

They already carry inventory, probably the exact same brands we do. I assume you are talking about a B&M store. If someone walks into the store they want to buy the products now.
If you are talking about online stores, they also carry the inventory already. They have already taken the risk. Using a dropshipper lowers your margins (but is less risk). It seems to me as if these stores have already taken the plunge and probably have tens of thousands in inventory, they aren't going to take a step backwards.

Just an idea
Let them know that they will have the ability to broaden their market by creating their own e-commerce site for their store, with minimal risk and investment. This will give store owners motivation to get involved because it opens up more opportunities to profit.

If they already have inventory, why would they open up a store online and dropship instead of using their own inventory? That makes no sense.

its makes it easier for them. no shipping, no man labor, except for designing the site and updating. And then submitting the orders to the drop shipper.
Also if they get to much business, they don't need the space to hold all of the products.
Just a few thoughts

You don't really seem to be listening to what we're saying. Not every store will have inventory of every product. If you provide them access to every product through dropshipping, then if their customer wants a product that they don't have in inventory, they can still offer it to their customer. Basically, you're allowing them to increase their product line without taking on the risk of inventory. Just a thought.

I don't know if you have ever heard of them but you can try to sign up with worldwidebrands.com They have the largest listing of wholesalers, drop shippers, and distributors. Just a thought.
