Hi,

I have recently started up a website which allows user to search for menus online based in Northern Ireland.

We are very much localised and have various marketing in place to promote on a local level, however we are having difficulties in getting people to sign up.

Has anyone any tips to persuade people to join a site.

We are not just a google adwords site. We are interested in expanding this in a big way and definately taking on the big boys as we have a product that can really work.

Any advice would be brilliant!

Thats the best way to start is localy, Im about to start the same for the town I live in. Tips are call business send out promotional letters to businesses explain to them that you will do the work of online advertising for them and they will pay like crazy, local business owners are usually olders and have no interest in online training.

Give something away for free but they must sign up to get it. Kind of like how I am giving you free advice right now, lol.

You just have to promote your ass off. If people like it they will ultimately use it - it just takes time.
