Turning local town buisness into Ecommerce business.

Hello All,
I am 19 year old college student going into the study of business administration and computer technology classes. My dad started a local buisness 9 years ago that deals with janitorial products (anything that has to do with cleaning). It has had substantial growth in the 9 years and has turned out to be a pretty good buisness. With my sense and wanting to go into buisness I have decided that I want to be the 2nd generation owner of the buisness. I have always thought of putting the buisness online. I have checked out other websites that offer similiar products and so forth. There are hundereds of sites. Do yall see potential success with this and if so where do I go about begining. I have already purchased the domain name. I got it off of register.com. Anyone have any ideas and leads on how I could get started on this or if I should even get started.
Thanks

Hi Kdizzle,

Maybe you could start a membership site like the following one
that teaches people how to start their own successfull janitorial
service (or something along those lines)...
http://www.thejanitorialstore.com/
