Suggestions for my redesigned site.

Hey! I just recently cleaned up the look of my site. Some thoughts and suggestions would be nice. Please just be completely honest. I already know it is somewhat slow to load, but any other suggestions would be great.

Feels a little empty on the left hand side where the blue is below the navigation.

Use the "Home page" to sell your products a little better. Make it a little more interesting for the customers to use.

Just a few thoughts... maybe think about branding too.

I agree.... there is too much blue space down the left hand side.

The screen is also too wide because I get a scroll bar on the bottom. The header fits perfectly across the top, nice and centered. Then where the s'ubscribe to our mailing list' and below is off the right hand of my screen.

Great! Thanks for the replys finally. One more thing. I just added Google adsense to my site. I put on the homepage, and virtually every page. Do you guys think this is exessive? Karen, what screen resolution are you using? This site was built based on a 1024 x resolution. Is anybody else experiencing a horizontal scroll bar?

only people with less than 1024 x 768 will have the horizontal bar issue... site looks good in Firefox to at 1024 x 768. Only put the adsense thing on the main page... just personal option. On the page pages... instead of using that... just cross promote your products... just a thought.

ooops, sorry. Small detail that I forgot to mention.

The computer that I used that showed a scroll bar had a screen of 800 X 600. On my other computer (1024 x 768) the scroll bar is gone.

You could always use a combination of XHTML and CSS to avoid the screen size issues.

Google would thank you for it too!

I have no idea how to do that. Can you enlighten me? I built the whole site aside from the template myself. Is there an option for example in "frontpage" to enable it?

I would not use adwords on your ecommerce site.

This defeats the purpose of your website and potential customers are driven away from your products.

I have to agree.

Adsense will take customers away from your site, which is not a good thing.

Define the balance, see which is the best profit route.

If you make a sale and your profit is $50 (purely speculation) yet adsense pays you $1 per click (again purely speculation)... which is your better choice?
