Cool

You can use the actual product source and not doba as a way to start. You need to have the lowest wholesale price you can without a markup. For example, many of the camping products are from Moteng. You can use Green Supply and Moteng or Wynit Outdoor for some outing items, JR Sports Co, for sports items. For electronics try TeleD or CX for smaller electronic programs or DH and DBL for larger programs.

Also, rather then just eBay look at Amazon Market Place or PriceGrabber SF for listing/selling. Also, Google Base is a free way to list and promote products if you have a site.

Oh...and while i didnt check the review site on this thread....i have seen several that just list programs with affiliate payouts (ie Doba, Salehoo, etc) or recomend the one the most which happens to have the best affiliate payout...or worse are "review sites" created by the program that gets the best rank ;-)

In all honesty, their has been 0 to none reliable dropshippers that I have dealt with. I have been a Platinum Powerseller on eBay for years before the booted me off for no apperant reason ofcourse. However, through out that time, not once did I encounter a reliable dropshipper, and trust me I have dealt with them all. The worst of them all has been DOBA, and the second will definitly be Netdropshipper.com which is also owned by the same guys who run megagoods.com. You want to make money? You need to find reliable distributors. I distribute to members who resell on eBay now, however, it is done locally, if your interested, PM me. Sorry to throw the bad news at you, but be very careful, along with dropshipping comes the biggest headache, upset customers and negative feedback!

I am new here, and would like to introduce myself. I am Huss, and I was an eBay platinum powerseller for over 3 years. I was kicked off for no reason, well none that they would provide me with. I am now an importer/distributor of electronic goods (NONE NAME BRAND). Good luck with your business venture all!

Hey Houeis, welcome to YE. But thanks for the advice. I'm thinking that Dropshipping does come with a huge headache. Well...you live you learn...right?

I 100% ABSOLUTELY RECOMEND THIS METHOD. If you do this, you are 1000x smarter than the average person looking to sell products online.

While I am not currently in this industry, I used to attend the national convention for a certain part of the food industry. I'd snag free passes, go to the booths, talk to the sales people and get their terms. The situation with this food market was the impossibility of dealing with shipping costs for online sales on something where looking and touching closes most sales.

I absolutely suggest going to conventions and talking to people in-person. Wheeler-dealers who know what they can offer industry can snag exhibit hall passes and probably end up spending $500 or less for the trip to Vegas which would, in the case of a real business, be at least somewhat deductible.

No one's mentioned working with these people in-person, but it's far superior to online because all in-person business deals are better than online.

Your welcome buddy... Live and learn? Yes, but if someone else has and told you and you still attempted it, it would just be a biggggg mistake lol. Listen, to make money, you have to spend both money, space and time. Space, is to have physical inventory on hand at all times while make sales. I have made over 8000 on eBay before they decided I was too good for them. Maintained a 99.5% positive feedback as well... I remember only 30 of these sales were dropshipped. All of my sales were done in the matter of 2 years. The secret to eBay is too hard to understand. You need to be licenced, and you need to search, search and search period. Dropshippers are never reliable, trust me on that. Good luck!

I think you mention is just the disadvantage of dropshipping. every business do have their negative side, and remember if you have only few hundred or thousands in your pocket dropshipping is still the best choice.
Thats just the beginning of your career and you will expand if you are "strong" enough.
I think just you have met too many sucks and lousy supplier.
There're still pretty good supplier around and also depends on sales person that handling your account.
I'm working for all my client and most of their sales have improve, so thats always bright side in a business just how you treasure and make use of them.
Lastly luck is also part of them.

Thank and good luck to all entrepreneur.....
