You should'nt even BE on this site....
Listen kiddo, before you go into business research laws... Selling fake handbags is COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT.. therefore you can be not only involved in a HUGE lawsuit ... in some states you can be arrested.
Besides, this is not a field for you. ever heard of canal street in NYC... all the chinesse selling handbags? Yeah well those hangbags are all imported by the MOB.. you dont wanna get involved in that..
But Quick answer: YES ITS ILLEGAL.

You're right they do tell you up front that they are replicas.

It might not be illegal to advertise them, but it would be illegal to be walking around with them. Also yes, as mentioned it would be trademarking violations if you included the official markings etc.
I'm sure you remember those stories about folks with fake Louis Vuittons get them confiscated while walking through euro airports.

It is not legal to sell counterfeits.
But it is so difficult to distinquish between what is fake and what is authentic.
I wrote a great article about this but unfortunately I can't link to it since I am new.

Jane, just to let you know.. its HIGHLY ILLEGAL. You, being a site moderator have an obligation to stop all of these sales. If you condone these type of sales.. YOUR liable to be in a law suit with these companies... so considering you didnt even do your research... I would take out a HUGE insurance liability plan.... and yeah, incorperate your business.

The sky is falling.... the sky is falling!!
You should check out what they sell on the streets of Mexico. Everything is counterfeit. I bought a pair of Raybans for $6. You can get a knockoff Gucci handbag for about $30.

I agree I also found in an article about the factory varients and how they keep and sell them because they do not pass designers QA.
In an effort to boost profits, designers in recent years have cut costs by outsourcing their manufacturing to factories in Asia. The factories then make more product than the designer orders and send the surplus to street dealers in Europe and the U.S. Clients are slowly coming around, but part of the problem is the designers themselves. In their rush to deliver year-on-year growth, many have reduced retail prices. If this is the case then the designers make it possible for Replicas to circulate.
In a one study over a quarter of North Americans questioned believe that fakes are just as good as the real thing, but in Asia, where most of the fakes are produced, consumers hold them in low regard, with only 8% putting them on par with the genuine article. In the U.S., people are less aware and less concerned, because in the U.S. luxury brands are considered more mainstream."

Lol Ricky. I looked at your website. I guess you better practice what you preach. Your merchandise is all fake by the look of the pictures on your website. I would change those pictures or someone will think you are commiting copyright infringement yourself, lol. Those prebagged items are usually manufacturered by counterfeiters.
