How to Gain Easy Traffic for your Website
The question to ask yourself is what does my website have to offer? If you have an answer then continue reading.
In the race that is the struggle for the most traffic there are always things that can be done to get you ahead of your competitors or rivals. If you have something unique then you are at an advantage and to utilise the advantage is the key.
If you own an internet business like me then you will know that traffic is the most important path to success because if no one can see your website then how are you going to make any money. Below I will list some of the possible ways there are of getting easy traffic:
1. Google Adsense: For a sum of money every month you can buy yourself an ad space with google. For a small business a budget of £30 a month for Adsense is suitable, it is important to put the right content into your ad because it is the ad that will get you the traffic, also when selecting your keywords make sure that you have researched them because a bad keyword will bring customers to your website that didn’t even want to be their in the first place.
2. Link Exchanges: They are very important for your page rank on the search engines because a search engine spider such as googlebot will crawl a webpage and will record how many links there are coming into your website and usually the more you have the higher the page rank you are, it also better to link to websites that are relevant to the sort of content in your website. If you sell consumer electronics it is best to link to websites that either talk about consumer electronics or sell them.
3. Blogs/Articles: Writing Blogs and articles will get you recognised but only if what you are writing has good content because blogging and writing articles with bad content just to get website traffic is almost like spamming. Anyone can write a blog because everyone has a special knowledge of something be it selling products on internet auction sites or Search Engine Optimization there will always be some people that are interested in the subject. If you slip a link to your website into an article then people reading will certainly click on it because it will stand out.
4. Forums: Join as many forums as possible and have a signature after every post that contains a link to your website because this will also count as a link to your website as far as the search engines are concerned. Don’t just have a link that displays the web address of your website because this has no effect of being a keyword. If you sell consumer electronics have the link display something like ‘MP3 players’ as a search engine spider will class it as a keyword link to your website.
But don’t forget that driving traffic to your website is no good unless your website has something decent and interesting to offer because people will leave within 30 seconds if it hasn’t.
