Flash Websites
Turn on or turn off?
Im contemplating weather to launch a super funkey flash website but at the same time I realize it can be a pain in the butt for some. (yes have considered having an option for flash or straight HTML)
Two questions for YE users
Flash - Yes or No?
Music Yes or No?

The word "No" can either be dead-end or a springboard... which will it be for you?

I hate Flash. I still have found no use for it. I also hate music on web pages.
Regular HTML will do a good job at whatever you need to do.

I don't recommend it for business clients. Sure its a nice touch, but there are several flaws with it:
- not search engine freindly
- some flash sites are just plain ugly
- not everyone has flash installed
- some people hate waiting for flash to load and it will lead them to close your window
- splash pages suck in general, and most flash sites have them

Adding to tekmonkey's post, flash site gets boring fast, and usually, people update their webpages to reflect company upgrade, and to update a flash is also a pain

actually depends on what kinda of business your talking about, for example in the fashion industry, a flash website is a must. Music on a fashion business website is commen.

It depends on the website. I have clients that are photographers or into fashion and I create Flash sites for them.
I have a little of flash on my main site. --> CyFocus.com
