Meet Suppliers at Wholesale Trade Shows / Janesdeals.com

The ASD / AMD Show in Las Vegas held at the Sands Expo, Mandalay Bay Convention Center and the Mirage was held March 2-5, 2008. This show is a must for anyone looking to meet wholesale suppliers in person and to find wholesale products for resale.

The show is comprised of hundreds of exhibitors of general closeout merchandise and variety merchandise covering a diverse line of categories such as electronics, gifts, jewelry, apparel, cosmetics, handbags, sunglasses, HBA, novelties, perfumes, plush toys, shoes, luggage, as seen on tv, dollar store items, licensed products, and fashion accessories.

There is a lot of haggling going on that the ASD shows. Buyers fly in from around the world to make offers on closeout deals they can resell through off price distribution centers. Many large buyers from large off price retail chains are seen placing huge orders. The larger exhibitors set up Salons but you have to have an appointment to meet with one of their reps. If you didn't make an appointment in advance, no need to worry, there are hundreds of small exhibitors in the back stalls who have stuff they are liquidating for cheap. Thousands of people meet at the ASD show to network and wheel and deal.

If you couldn’t make it to the show this year, you can find many of the ASD show items on Janesdeals.com.

Janesdeals is an online wholesale venue to meet and make deals with wholesale suppliers worldwide.

You don't have to have a wholesale license to buy.

Janesdeals suppliers agree to ship prior to receiving funds. Buyers have 24 hours to inspect. This ensures you will receive goods as advertised.

hahahahahaha you DO NOT need to have a business lisence to buy from a wholesaler... what the hell is wrong with you???

before my business took off, I didnt have a lisence, trademark, OR BANK ACCOUNT. EVERYONE is looking to make a buck and most wholesalers couldnt give a "ish" weather you have a lisence or not.

INFACT most wholesalers want you to pay in cash so theres no paper trail, so no tax id. The only time you would need a tax id, or lisence is if your about to import from a LARGE corperation. Or if someone really needs to get rid of a lot of stuff and wants doesnt want the IRS raiding there accountants offices looking for the paper trail of credit as to where that inventory went.

Ricky, I think that question was geared more towards doing the right thing having a legit business - not some under the table sham bullshit. You CAN find "wholesalers" that will sell to you w/o requiring a Tax ID, but they're not supposed to. If you want to keep it legit and not risk getting burned, stick with the REAL wholesalers/dealers.

Essentially, wholesalers are middle-men too - so I'd say bypass them altogether - but most people dont know how to go about it. But hey - since you wholesale Arizona jeans, I guess you'd be the man to ask about this huh? By the way - if you're a wholesaler, as it seems to be, why would you promote shady side deals? Just curious.

If you want to buy from real wholesalers and get real wholesale prices you need a business license.
I don't know what kind of business you run or buy from. But if they aren't asking you for tax id's and if you have a business license, they aren't legitimate wholesalers. That means your not buying at real wholesale prices.

Il agree with you on the top part partially. OBVIOUSLY you have no experience in this field beucase wholesalers don't ask for your tax id. NOW, if your recieveing a liquidation from a COMPANY such as a dept store, then they will ask for your Tax ID so they can prove where they just sent off there inventory to avoid being taxed.

BTW , the reason I told you wholesalers wouldnt ask for your tax id is becuase everything is wholesale... this is AMERICA why lie to yourself. NO ONE WANTS TO CLAIM THERE TAXES> oh and call the dos I opertate legally becuase i sell in retail AND wholesale

Oh and the truth is, weather you don't like to hear it like it is, or not. At the point where someone woudl require a TAX id is the point where you can't afford to take there inventory anyway.

whats REALLLLLLLLY funny is "fanatik's" Ignorance, because in the state of New Jersey you are not required to collect a Tax ID for MERCHANDISE under $1500.

So it really just goes to show that
1. Your ignorant
2. You probubly have no experience in this field anyway.
3. You just take words out of my mouth, I implied that most wholesalers wouldn't ask for it. Not that I ran a "sham" or whatever you call it that operated this way and in NO WAY was I promoting shady deals.

Next.

First of all, apologies to mjw0201 for jacking the thread - but this seriously needs addressing.

Let's see if I can answer all your inquiries and comments here, shall we?

Okay, you have no idea what you're saying here. I do have experience in this field - A LOT of experience actually, and as a wholesaler you are damn near required to ask for a tax id. Any and EVERY wholesaler and master distributor I've EVER dealt with, has needed a tax id and most of the time - many more forms of identification. "No one wants to claim their taxes" - you're a Goddamn fool. A legitimate business would have a good accountant, skilled at reducing tax debt/liabilities. I don't need to call DOS, I checked you out already, and you're not even a registered entity!

Well, as a REPUTABLE wholesaler/distributor, you should request/require a Tax id and other forms of business ID. Telling someone "oh, haha - you dont need one - thats basically bullshit", is HORRIBLE advice for a new business owner! Not only is it NOT legally sound, but you can get someone screwed over in the long run for that kind of crappy advice, should you dish out more.

And kid, please - don't assume. You've got no idea of who I am or how many businesses I own, have sold, etc. I will put you to shame if you want to continue to dispute wholesale/distributor matters. You're showing your colors, and they're not very bright.

Without quoting your last post - I can tell you that again, if you're dealing with a reputable wholesaler/distributor, you would be requireed to provide tax id and forms of business identification.

RickyCeez - you're not registered anywhere, in any business databases, at all... why is that? Not NJ, nor NY... you make it seem like you're a big operation here - just curious.
