Should i tell them i want to purchase their items to sell at greater costs on my site or what?

Tell them you are a retailer and you would like to buy bulk quantities at wholesale prices. If you have experience in advertising and marketing, you should be able to have a large turn around ratio. This will entice any distributor or small manufacturer trying to get their name out there.

I would get a professional website together first. This way you can show them how serious your are. Don't resell them on ebay, because you will be stepping on each others toes.
