Question Dropshipping - Online business

Ok, I'm really frustrated. Before I get started let me make these rules loud and clear:

Rule #1 - Never buy a dropship list
Rule #2 - Never subcribe to a dropshipper that requires some kind of payment, monthly or one time.
Rule #3 - Research, research and research

Now that I got that out of my mind, let me ask a question. How can I open a successful online store business without any inventory? Dropship is the obvious answer but where are the reliable dropshippers located? Why can't I find a worthy dropship company, I have tried lists, memberships and more but they never turn out good, either there is no space to make profit because their prices are already high or something of that nature.

If you already have a successful business site that sells products through a successful dropshipper especially electronics, please let me know. You can email me if you prefer to.

It seems finding a good dropshipper with good prices takes more than google's algorithm. I've tried and its devastating, please list sites that you know of. I've probably already been there. Anyway i'll appreciate any response. Thanks.

In the past I have just emailed sites that sell similar products as I am looking to sell. at first you may not get the most amazing prices, but you will get a drop shipper.

You may need to contact quite a few people.

I am sure this isnt the best way...but its a way.

Yes sounds like a good idea but it doesn't work. People tend to hold back information on their sources. I've tried asking and I'll be lucky to get a reply.

It's true, I can get dropshippers easily but not a single one with good prices and reliability.

For the sake of curiousity it sounds as if you have been into that kind of business before or still in. Was it successful? Why did you quit? Any advice for a beginner?

They didnt give me dropshipping info, they just dropped shipped it for me.

I am quite a beginner in all this also, but I was looking for suppliers for projectors. went to all the websites I could find and sent an email to the sales department and just asked them.

Like I said I am sure there is a better way about doing this, I just got lucky guess.

Anything with high demand. I'm really looking towards electronics, since I have passion for it. Here is a brief list. Movies, DVD, Games, Dig Cameras, General Electronics, Ipod, Gadgets, etc..

I'm curious to know where you got your set of rules from if you haven't even been able to find one yourself...

My set of rules are made up of things that you shouldn't do not things that you should do.

Those products have a high demand and they also have a high supply. So many people are selling electronics that it would be hard for a small company to sell them and make money. Try doing some research and see what people would buy that others aren't selling much of.

Thanks, during my research I noticed that but at the same time I also found out that the demand is also rising, so there is a great possiblity for profit. I found other items that can be sold such as antiques but I am trying to stick to things that I know and have passion for. Again, I also found out that I don't have to sell familiar items other wise i'm limiting myself. I'm open to ideas.

What I think they are trying to say is that. Due to increase in demand, everyone wants to start a electronic store. I too of course planned to open a store selling electronics but then after talking to numberous person I have taken they advice and have found a much smaller niche.

PS: You can still deal with electronics but find a niche that involves electronics.
