Location: Charlotte, NC but often on the road
If you are in Canada...there is no reason why you cant use US based suppliers and sell to US based customers. Although between the us and Canada there is usually little additional shipping cost. Your should contact the Canadian supplier or the US supplier and get some additional details about if they have any additional costs or shipping delays when sending an order across the boarder.....also...some suppliers have inventory location in both the US and Canada regardless of where they are located.

Im kind of in the same situation as twigy im 16 and I want to start dropshipping on ebay. Is it necesary to have a business license and tax id? I don't want to become a hardcore seller just yet (because of school) I just want to sell a few items at a time at a time and get used to becoming a seller.

Thanks

T. J.

Well if you want to compete on ebay you will need to buy wholesale. If you do not have a biz license(LLC or sole proprietor) you can't buy wholesale. I don't know of any drop shippers you would make money from.

I could tell you a few that drop ship for people that dont have biz license or tax id, but they would rip you off & you wont make any money. Ebay prices are at wholesale standards.

I would say if you dont want to go hardcore on ebay. Visit yard sales and stuff on the weekends. Read your local paper. Flea markets are great.

As for drop shippers that dont ask for biz credentials they are a dead end if you want to make money on ebay. Because drop ship middlemen dont have wholesale prices. It's illegal to sell wholesale to the public. Thats why you need biz credentials.
