I have used DOBA 7 day free trial about two weeks ago and cancelled my account on the 7th day.

Although I personally have no problem with them being a middleman to the real wholesalers they mark up on item cost and shipping were just too high to be competitive. To be fair, I mainly concentrated on Laptop carrying cases and accessories in my price comparisons and did not spent any time researching other products they offered. Here are my findings:

-80% of the products researched had wholesale prices equal to Overstock's retail price.

-with an average 10% markup on Doba's wholesale price I could price my products within the mean prices of my competitors on Froogle.

-with an average 5% markup on Doba's whloesale price I could barely be competitive on Ebay. I would not be the lowerst price on ebay but maybe one of the 5 to 10 cheapest vendors. Only problem with that though would be that 5% markup wouldn't even cover the listing fees and closing fees Ebay charged. So in essence If i tried to sell Doba's stuff on ebay I'd pretty much lose money on everysale.

Once again to be fair my price comparisons were strictly based on Laptop Bags and accessories. I did not have the time within my 7 day free trial to test out other product lines. Never the less, I did cancel my account on the day 7 of my free trail. If you need any more info on Doba feel free to shoot me a pm.

When I was researching Dropshippers and Wholsalers the other day Doba.com came up a lot. I also noticed, all the links that led to Doba.com were affiliate links. I looked up Doba.com's affiliate program and anyone you get to sign up for the free trial, the affiliate earns 5 bucks plus 10% of sales. The only reason they were linked to a lot is simply becuase of their affiliate program. I wouldn't trust them.

Doba has many bad reviews from customers. Like Jerrsun said they are equal in prices as overstock.com's retail prices, and they are just a middlemen, and not true wholesalers. You can check out Ripoffreport.com and put in Doba in the search bar and you will see their reviews from other customers.

I also have heard many negative things about DOBA. Basically, it sounds like your markup would have to be so low to be competitive that it would be too low to make any money unless you have crazy high volume.

Yes...you can search Doba on this forum as there are lots of posts. You can use the actual supplier programs like Vertex, FX, Moteng, etc. You can learn more on ripoffreport.com or scam.com ( i think that is the name) etc. You can also search on their old name wholesalemarketer.com
