Best way to get suppliers

Hi,

I'm almost ready to start up my website, I just have one minor problem: getting in touch with some suppliers. I've never dealt with suppliers before, so i'm completely in the dark on how to do it. Should I just email them? Call them? What should be part of the deal we make? Are there any specific points I should be sure to bring? Thanks in advance, you guys always have the best answers...

Just do it..
The worst is you face rejection..

Yes, you will still be alive after that..
Then you try again, a different approach maybe..

It's what I use for all of my websites.

We deal with many suppliers most from china:
1> GIVE 3-4 SUPPLIERS AN EMAIL WITH YOUR COMPANY INTRODUCTION AND SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT (SPECS) , MOQ, DELIVERY TIME, PAYMENST, GUARANTEE ETC.
2> IT THEY DONNOT REACT, CALL THEM
3> AFTER YOU MADE A SELECTI0N THE BEST WAY IS TO VIST THEM, ESPECIALLY WHENTHEY ARE IN iNDIA, VHINA, VIETNAM

GOOD LUCK

You should firstly search on net then talke with them via MSN or other online messenger or call them to discuss the cooperation. Usually they would agree if you can make them believe that you will sell them perfectly.

1. call them up.
2. check if they have product you are looking for.
3. take note on the person in charge including contact number & email, in case you have any further inquiries the next day.
4. Negotiate on price. Tell them your order volume.. Big volume will give you big discount.
5. Discuss on the long term relationship or be the main distributor if you are good enough.
6. If your supplier is from overseas, then you should take note on the delivery term & the price quoted.

- Does the price include delivery up to your door ?
- Or do you need to pick up the goods from their place?
- Does it include import tax ?

7. Payment term : T/T? Letter of Credit ? pay full amount before delivery? pay half upon ordering and another half upon shipment ?

8. any warranty on the product?
9. if the material received damage or dented, will there be any replacement ?
10. All this should be put in black & white before ordering / payment.

There are many online suppliers, you can find the right products and get a free account. Then you can order the products online. If there is any problem you can ask their online service center, get the prompt reply. It is not that difficult. Take it easy
