Bashing: A Stress Reliever?

Posted 09-23-2008 at 09:49 AM by Librazoe1982
Does Bashing relieve stress or does it cause stress? It’s different for everyone. Personally, I feel better after bashing what I dislike. For instance, I signed up for an all ladies gym membership at a Christian based facility. My goal was to become healthy and fit. The director was nice to me, described all the services I would be getting, personal trainers there to assist me, weighing every month, and so on. I was excited about it, especially since it was an all girls fitness center. As she was describing every thing, she handed me the contract and said quickly, “Oh this is just saying you will be making monthly payments.” My gut instinct said not to sign the contract, that the director was hiding something. I ignored it and signed the contract. Excitement got the best of me.

The first day, the personal trainer weighed me, and then showed me how to use the equipment. That was the last time I ever saw her. I continued to go to the fitness center every day for several months. The personal trainer never showed up and I never got weighed or any of the services promised to me. Being the girl I am, just shrugged it off and didn’t make a big deal out of it.

A few months later I had to move to a different city that was 30 plus minutes away. After I got all moved into my new place, I called the fitness center to cancel my membership since I had moved. A lady answered the phone and I explained what I wanted to do. She told me she can not cancel the contract, and that they will not stop taking the money out of my bank account with their automatic bill paying feature. I asked why, and she said the only way I could cancel is if I was dying. That really made me mad. I asked to speak to someone higher than her and that didn’t help. Frustrated with the whole ordeal, I wasn’t about to pay for a service I wouldn’t be using anymore. I looked in my contract and it said that I could cancel if I moved 30 miles away from the facility. Which I did live that far away, so I called them again, told them about the contract. They continued to treat me bad and try to prove I lived 25 miles away. Really upset, I yelled and complained and finally someone was able to help me.

Soon after that, I found away to relieve my anger, bashing the company every where I could find. I am a nice girl but I know what good customer service is. I also know what I deserve, and I didn’t deserve to be treated so badly, and by a Christian based company!

So does bashing relieve stress? I think it does.

Let's talk about this company.
They are closed on Sundays. couldn't they just hire non-christians so that people who wanted to work out on sundays could do so?

They also are closed on holidays where running in for a 30 minute workout is the most important.

On the other hand, they are brilliant at marketing to the older crowd.
