Hi to everybody. Im tryin to find some help on how to start my own clothing line. I need to know how to go about it. I have plenty of designs and I also have some shirts already made. I know that the line will sell due to the fact that I get compliments on them all the time. How would I market the product? Do I need to trademark the brand? Any help would be greatly appreciated... THANKS

Well, one way would be is to have a website. Do you have one? On the site, you can post some photos of your clothing line. Have you ever done Online Marketing?
Do you have a company name? Do you have a logo? Do you have a slagon? I don't know about trademark, but I would put it on your clothes. It's more of a branding statement. Then find out how much it would be to trademark your brand. If you have a hot item, start getting names and numbers of company's like Macy's, Dillard's, Target, Wal-Mart, Neimen Marcus, etc. Wherever you might want to distrubute your product and the people you need to talk to that handle new product lines. Post a profile on Myspace, Facebook, showing off your clothing line. Get creative, and be aggresive with it. Whatever you do, don't take time to hear any negative input from people on how you are doing your business unless it is from someone in the business that has successed, and is trying to point you in the right direction. If this is your passion, your life, your dream, then there should be nothing holding you back and press forward with every challenge you might face along the way. Do something everyday that will get you closer to your goal. Stay focus, and make sure you see your goals in front of you everyday. Read them out loud in front of the mirror. If your design is HOT, then all you need to do is the leg work. I hope I didn't go over board, and the info I give is useful. I wish you the best my friend.
