First steps to Entrepreneural

I've come up with an ideal. I shared my ideal with very few of the most trusted persons i know in order to get an independent opinion. They have agreed with me that my ideal may work.
So it starts. I've taken the first step and that is to take action. Writing it down. I maintain a business diary if you will in which I write down ideals, contacts, resources and things to do. Have no experience as an Entrepreneur, therefore my next step was to looked up the website for the city in which I wish to open my business. On their webpage I researched business info and contacted the small business enterprise centre, they have a section dedicated to start up. Further I made an appointement to speak to a business consultant which is free of charge. During the process I also researched similar businesses to examine how they operated. This enabled me to have a general ideal of what I wanted and be able to describe what my intentions were upon meeting with the business consultant.
On April 3rd I attended City Hall. With two coffees in hand I met the business consultant. I hand over a coffee to the consultant and I immediately ask if he can be entrusted with my ideal and that everything would remain confidential. A verbal agreement took place and off we were."my theory is to alway confirm confidentiality and obtain an official declaration when in doubt". Fantastic, at this point I felt I was on to someting and had a sense of direction. BUT WAIT the consultant advises he has information he should share with me right away. I was told that my business ideal was already faced with an obstacle. In previous years similar business proposals were brought forward to the City and they were not only denied but prohibited. Fantastic, I took a moment to reflect and asked myself, when and why. These are key questions, WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE and WHY. The answers could not be provided right away so I decided to carry on as if this information was never shared to me.
I then received a start-up package, with an abundance of information to suggest where to start. A Business Plan seemed to be the key to start up. I was referred to an online interactive business planner which I am currently using. Canada Business
(more to follow at a later time)
