I agree that Puck's philosophy is timeless as it seems to be a universal law. In my industry, a great brander or advertiser will always look at what he can take off as oppose to what he can add. As David Ogilvy once quoted: "Simplycity still holds the truth, like the thruth of a simple kiss.". "distraction won't make you grow" as Anthony Robbins said, "stay focussed". It is true with your business so you stay in line with your mission as it is in your life or in cooking.

Puck's philosophy is timeless. And I think keeping it simple is the challenge of every entrepreneur who has an audacious goal and expansive vision. One easy way to simplify is to make sure that each action and goal reflects the big picture purpose of your organization. That way, you can always find the common thread and won't have too many unrelated things happening at once.

Keep It Simple - Entrepreneur Profile on Wolfgang Puck

Puck has never been one for pretensions. Despite being a gourmet chef who caters to the who’s who of Hollywood and many of America’s other elite, Puck has refused to succumb to the glitz and the airs of many of the other top chefs.
