Milewise — Make Your Airline Miles Rewarding

A program for your frequent flyer miles that helps you cash in the miles you have so you can get the rewards you want — sound crazy?  Not anymore.  No more waiting around for the miles to be redeemed or for the mileage program to tell you that you need to wait to book your flight.

Milewise is a company that just secured $1.5M in debt financing, according to SEC records.  Why don't you already know about this company?  Because they're keeping things under wraps until they're ready to begin.

Another Milewise investor is listed as David S. Kidder, Clickable's co-founder and CEO.

Invite-only, Milewise is expected to not only handle frequent flyer miles, but also other rewards programs, though this information can not be confirmed.

Founded by Sanjay Kothari, Milewise is keeping details private at the moment.  Kothari's experience includes being a summer associate in investment banking with JP Morgan, a principle at SK Consulting, and a project leader at Boston Consulting Group.

Co-founder Vinay Pulim's past experience includes being a senior software engineer at Hunch, a system that personalized web user experiences.

Together, this idea seems like one that the market has been searching for — and restless to find.  Some sources report that the Milewise program will also offer specials that allow members to use miles for more than what they're worth, during certain times.

This information also can not be confirmed as of yet.

Actually being able to use your frequent flyer miles?  Priceless.

Not knowing when the Milewise site will be ready to take off?  Frustrating.
