THIS IS AN INTERESTING ACCOUNT OF THE GALLO BROTHERS AND HOW THEY MADE THEIR FORTUNE.EVENTHOUGH , I DON'T AGREE WITH THIS QUOTE ENTIRELY, I KNOW THAT PARENTAL INFLUENCE AND A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE BUSINESS YOU ARE PLANNING TO EMBARK ARE VALUABLE . THE TIME THEY GREW UP IN WHEN THE TRADE OR BUSINESS WAS PASSED DOWN SEEMED TO BE MORE PREVALENT THEN EVENTHOUGH THEY TOOK GRAPE GROWING INTO A WINE ENTERPRISE.THAT THOUGHT IS NOT THE MAINSTREAM TODAY BECAUSE IF IT WERE, THERE BE NO OPRAH WINFREY.

This quote appears at the beginning of the post:

"Success in life depends on who your parents were and what circumstances you grew up in."

I try my best to be positive when leaving comments on other blogs, but I have to very, very strongly disagree with this quote. And I sincerely hope that there's some sort of mis-quoting happening here, because if there's anything that runs completely contrary to the entrepreneurial mindset and set of values, it's this kind of lazy, deterministic thinking.

As it appears here, this quote suggests that we should all sit around complaining about our station in life based solely on our parents or our childhood circumstances. I find that despicable.

Entrepreneurship is the story of success IN SPITE OF. In spite of who your parents were or were not. In spite of what circumstances you did or did not grow up in.

Once again, I sincerely hope this is a simple mis-quote.
