If you’ve been around the Young Entrepreneur community for a while, you know that my brother, Matthew, and I have a passion for helping entrepreneurs find success from an early age. It’s why we started YoungEntrepreneur.com, and it’s why we wrote our book, Kidpreneurs. We always say that while some people say, “It’s never too late,” our belief is that it’s never too early!
Entrepreneurship teaches kids valuable skills that will guide them through their entire lives, and being able to have a hand in helping them learn those skills is something that is very important to us. So, we were thrilled when we heard that well-known entertainer, Willy Badger, wanted to turn the Kidpreneurs project into a live show!
Willy Badger is a high energy, award-winning physical comedian and promoter who has performed in the U.S., Canada, Korea, and Japan. He found the book Kidpreneurs online and realized that he could create a show on a subject he loves and for an audience that works best for his silly sense of humor – kids! Willy intends to take his show to elementary and middle schools all over North America, and hopefully the world.
Some of the ideas Willy has put together for the live show are fantastic! Because Matthew and I can’t be at all the shows, we’re going to use two iPads as “puppets” of each of us, and Willy will interact with the iPad puppets throughout the show. That’s just one of the incredibly creative things Willy has in mind, so we’re obviously very excited!
About the show, Willy says,
“I wrote the script for the stage show in two days and quickly realized that in order to do this right, I would have to make it a very tech savvy show. I want to create a show that is challenging to me as a physical comedian as well as have a great message to help kids around the world get a better chance to succeed in life.”
In order to get the show on the road, Willy has created a project on Kickstarter, a new way to fund creative ideas and ambitious endeavors. Take a look at the short video Willy made to explain what he has in mind:
We know that if children are taught the concepts of entrepreneurialism at an early age, the benefits last a lifetime. So, since we first wrote Kidpreneurs, our dream has been to bring the concept to kids and parents everywhere. The KIDPRENEURS LIVE! It’s Never Too Early project could very well be the fulfillment of our dream.
