If you’re not good at numbers, don’t be an investment banker. I would never try out for the Olympics because I’m not an athlete.” – Lorenzo Borghese.

Unfortunately very few people 'love' doing the necessary work that all customers need, and guess what, that is the majority of business out there - think selling insurance, cleaning toilets, mining coal, etc. The trick is not to find something you love (it'll be unpaid labour because of the supply demand dynamic of willing volunteers), but to find meaning in the thing you do. If you can find meaning and purpose in your work, and this has to be a conscious choice, then you have the opportunity for satisfaction. Whats the difference? ..being in control of the levers in your head.

Doing what you love gives you excitement and enthusiasm towards the day. That's how life is suppose to be. I am achieving it. I can see it, smell it and taste it.

Great post! I absolutely believe in Lorenzo's philosophy in doing what you love...so much so that I recently quit my job at an interactive marketing company and started my own social media marketing company. I have a dream of becoming an entrepreneur and I'm willing to put the work in to see it through. With that said, if you need any advice on how to use social media marketing for your small to mid-sized business, don't hesitate to check out my site :)
