I run http://www.atlargenutrition.com/ and I was wondering if you could give me similar advice? I am starting on this business full time in 2 months time and want to really focus on SEO, but I am very rusty and haven’t really bothered about it for a while!

My Recommendations

1) Home Page Title Tag

You’ve done a great job of generating links and building Page Rank (now a 4 out of 10) which will increase your ability to rank for different keywords. Your homepage gives you the best chance to rank so you want to put your important keywords in the title tag on the home page. Right now your title tag reads “At Large Nutrition – Your number one choice for nutritional supplements.” You’re going to rank for At Large Nutrition because it’s your domain name so take it out and put your important keywords “nutritional supplements” at the beginning. Right now it’s your most valuable key word sequence and it’s at the end of your sentence. You can also add in a few more keywords that are targeted. Most people don’t ever read the title tags but Google sure does. Also make sure to keep it under 100 characters.

2) Be Consistent in Your SEO

You have some good content on the site which will help drive traffic. You want to make sure that your SEO efforts are being maximized on each page. For example, on your article page http://www.atlargenutrition.com/nitreanprotein_report.php your title tag reads “Why you should choose Nitrean protein over other protein powders!” Then the actual title of your article is “What Makes Nitrean the Best Protein Value on the Market?” and the article URL itself is nitreanprotein_report.php. You should keep all three the same and choose the most strategic keywords for them to give you the best chance of ranking for the selected keywords.

3) Don’t Have the Same Title Tags For Multiple Pages

As mentioned already, your home page title tag reads “At Large Nutrition – Your number one choice for nutritional supplements.” which you are now going to change. I then go to your articles page and guess what it reads? You guessed it: “At Large Nutrition – Your number one choice for nutritional supplements.” Make sure that every page has a unique title tag to give each page the best chance to rank for different keywords.
