If You Could Meet One Famous Entrepreneur… – Entrepreneur Poll

silhouette-manIt’s time for another YoungEntrepreneur.com poll!

Last week I shared with you the results of our most recent poll on Twitter (What is the best way to build your business through Twitter? – Entrepreneur Poll Results). We had a great response and I wanted to thank everyone for participating!

This week our new poll is asking:

“If you could meet one famous entrepreneur, dead or alive, who would it be and why?”

We’ve done a number of famous entrepreneur profiles here on the blog and I’d like to know if you had to just pick one person in history to meet, who would it be?

Is it a modern day entrepreneur like Richard Branson or Bill Gates? Maybe it’s an entrepreneurial legend from the past like Henry Ford or Andrew Carnegie.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and remember to please share why you would like to meet that person. What makes him or her more special than everyone else?

I’m looking forward to some interesting comments!

I would probably want to meet Dean Kamen and Elon Musk. I love Dean Kamens ideas, and Elon Musk is pushing Tesla Motors to new heights and we can’t forget about SpaceX. The only person I want to meet from the past is not really an entrepreneur but he is an inventor, and that would be Nikola Tesla.

  2. Jeffrey McCain says:

    It Would Be.. JOEL COMM!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Bill Gluth says:

It would have to be Thomas Edison. That guy never gave up even under the most extreme circumstances. Passion personified. Next is Napoleon Hill – after all, he wrote the book that ALL of us follow today, in one way or the other.

  4. I think I would choose Soichiro Honda or Charles Goodyear. As an automotive industry nut, I have a tremendous love for both, but more than anything, I respect that they were willing to risk everything to pursue their passions. To be able to persevere regardless of the number of people calling you crazy, that is sheer brilliance……

  5. dha says:

    It would be Rupert Murdoch.

I would like to meet Steve Jobs for a cup of tea (I’m from the UK). His work is inspirational, his foresight and dedication (case in point Pixar) are truly encouraging.

I love the interview he gave together with Bill Gates at the D5 2007 :)

  8. Joshua Collinsworth says:

I would want to meet Sam Wyly. I read his book, 1,000 Dollars and an Idea, and I would love to pick his brain on some interesting questions I have.

I would also love to meet Kevin Ryan, because he is continuously cranking out new business models that are innovative and market changing.

  9. No particular person but I want to meet those who are related to my industry.
