None of the people on their team were graphic designers or print layout specialists. In addition, access to large scale printers would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. However, they did have access to on-line magazine publication abilities. After looking at the costs, they decided to put print off for a while, or at least until they are fully educated on it. Rather than hire consultants, they will learn as they go. It's not impossible to acquire new skills, just be sure you allow the time for the learning curve. Unfortunately, this needs money as it is a brick & mortar business...and investors are hard to find.
