Many forget how powerful something as simple as a pen and paper can be when talking to their clients. A pen and paper can be used to jot down notes about questions and concerns clients are having while you’re meeting with them to make plans either in person or on the phone and also can simply help you organize your thoughts when you come up with an improvement to your business plan and goals or simply a great marketing idea, etc. but are not near a computer. Of course, I would also agree that networking is perhaps THE most important part of a marketing plan because it’s how you create and build those relationships that become the foundation of your entire business.
