I worked with a SCORE counselor (two, actually) in my area during the startup stages of my business. I was expecting a lot of hard-to-face questions about finances, plans, etc. (which did come up), but I came away from the meeting feeling very supported and with a good sense of what I could offer my market that they weren’t getting anywhere else.

What I thought was going to be a hard-hitting sort of “threshold” (in-or-out) experience was really a great confidence-booster!

I have not check out their mentoring service yet. But the website has a very clean and professional feel to it. Very easy to navigate around and chok full of quality information. I really like the sections “10 resources to help you start smart” and “design your website for fast loading.” I just started an intern program (ref: OnlineBusinessInternProgram.com) and at this point in my business any bit of useful knowledge helps. Thanks.

I think the biggest benefit of SCORE is their mentoring service. Free one on one consultations, from been-there done-that executives and entrepreneurs.

The other resources and links on their site don’t impress me that much…
