GPA calculator? C'mon... Assuming it's worth bringing together these functionalities, it seems like something that a MySpace or a Facebook (or any other established social networking site) would be better-equipped and positioned to do. Other than a basic concept, I'm not sure what he brings to the table (and the website doesn't paint a very good picture of what to expect from the service). I admire his passion and perseverance, but I've got to say--from what I've been able to piece together, I don't like his chances.
