Hit the nail right on the head, trying to get people to see that they make a bad impression by having a personalized email rather than a business email is hard work as well. Nothing more frustrating that driving along and seeing an email address on a company van saying bazza2345@hotmail.com.

Seriously! And it always amazes me how folks don't understand the importance (especially in the area of brand management and corporate identity) of your signature, too!

I too, agree. This is so true. Even as a student, having a professional email is important when introducing yourself to potential employers and colleagues.

I don't know how many business owners I've met that have a website and do not use that as their e-mail address. I have had to explain to dozens of entrepreneurs that they should be using their domain for their mail server; so many are using aol, hotmail or msn instead of branding themselves by having another opportunity to have their site name in front of their customers - does anyone think aol needs a little more free publicity?
For example, my business name is dotcalm - dotcalm.ws is my website and that's hard for some people to understand (ws means website - really uncommon but dotcalm.com was taken) so I use StressFreeDesign.com as my site - but I have e-mail addresses of veronika@ off both of them to brand my name and tagline with people.
Can I use this cartoon in my newsletter for www.mvbwn.org?
Thanks,
Veronika

So true, and often so overlooked. Same goes for your email address on job applications.
